Sunday exchange

A sunny sunday, I took my new bike and some cloths that I was not wearing for a long time! Riding through the supermarket, there is a yellow container that I always passing by on which is written Cambio Stagione. I think it is service of Municipality of Milan to let people share their stuffs with others. The moment that I came up to the container, there was an other lady who was trying to put her stuff inside the container. A man came closer and asked her if she has something for him. The woman answered that there were only woman cloths. And then came my turn. But the woman didn't leave and asked me if I have something for her. Me, who was trying to get of my classic white shirts, showed her what I had in my bag! A smile appeared in her face and took all the stuff! I really got excited about this exchange. Perhaps I could have thrown my cloths inside the container but instead I had a direct contact with the second user, or second user's mother thanks to this yellow container! How many people can have this chance to see their stuff's next user in a sunny sunday?! Fortunately I had:)

1st Aperitivo 606

This friday, I had my own happy hour at my new home! I had recently lots of new beginnings: a new single room, a new bike and 2 new cute roommates... And last tuesday a generous guy gave me 6 new "hand made" glass of wine as a present so I decided to have my own aperitivo at my place:) When my mom learned that I will have a little party at home, she asked me if I had asked permission to my new roommates. The answer was: I also invited them:)) No really, they are really great! When they have asked me how many people would come, i just said that i wanted to see how many people could fit into our new little home. And they enjoy the answer. Now, we know the number: 30! It was really a great time! I want to thanks here to everyone who has joined to my first aperitivo! Cheers to new beginnings...

some great quotes from Frank Gehry

[One lady was all over me at one of these meeting saying: "You can't do this, and you can't do that" I said to her: "If you really think I am here to take you out of your banal office, which is poorly lit, poorly furnished, has poor acoustics and poor natural light... If you think I am here to take you out of that in order to put you into something that really works, with user-friendly furniture, nice light, a better relationship to your staff and your colleagues... If you think I am here to do that, you are crazy. I wouldn't do that to you. Finally, she laughed. ] Frank Gehry

[If I have a big envy in my life, it's about painters. I wish I was a painter. What I'm fascinated with is the moment of truth. There's the canvas, it's on your aesel, you got your bruch, and you got this goddamn palette of colors, and what do you do? What's the first move? I love that dangerous place!] Frank Gehry

a Sunday crawling on all 4s

So what is happening in my life in these days? I profit my last free days to work a little bit: so I started babysitting... and now I have 3 children:) Their names are Davide, Cecilia and Ariel and they are GREAT!

Today is one of the awesome days: a sunny sunday with a relatively calm Ariel:)) Me and Ariel, we went to Triennale Cadorna to see the new exhibition of Bruno Munari: "Vietato Non Toccare"! At 16 p.m., at least 40 children between 2 and 6 years old were waiting to see the exhibition. Just entered, they divided us in groups so we were the BLUE with our BLUE sticker on our chest:)

It is the first time that MUBA -Museo dei Bambini di Milano-is addressing primarily to the kindergarten kids, aware of the importance of a cultural offer of high quality for the age group of 2-6 years.
For this, in conjunction with ABM (Association of Bruno Munari) and Edizioni Corraini, MUBA has selected in large production of Munari, subjects closest to the sensitivity, the curiosity and needs of children, creating a game set to the path of discovery , wonder, visual and tactile experience, experimentation and action... So we enjoyed Bruno Munari's genius games with Ariel... The funny part is that even the adults had to crawl on all fours during the track so we do:)

Milano Metro Stories I: 4 stops music...

One of the things that I really love is street musicians that offer their creativity at an unexpected moment... they are able to change my mood in every condition. Especially the ones in subway, when my mind is plenty of thoughts, plans and concern, the one who enter suddenly from the door is enough to liberate me from these pointless thoughts. The good part is that you can never know in which station they can appear and illuminate your thoughts! And when they come, I totally stop everything, appreciate fews moments they offer to me and I try to pay them something symbolic for their performance.
In Milan, metro musicians have generally the same tactic: they play for 1 1/2 stops and collect money before arriving to the 2nd stop. However today, it happened something strange: I arrived to Lambrate station and I sat down between 2 musicians while I was waiting the metro. One of them started speaking with me. He was a nice Romanian musician from Bucharest who studied music & theater during university. When he discovered that I am Turkish, he promised me to play a Turkish song in metro:) So, the metro came, people entered and the musician started playing as usual, strangely he played during 2 stops and start collecting money after the 2nd stations and then after he sat down in front of me and played the Turkish melody till Centrale... He played because perhaps he liked me, perhaps I was the only one who payed to him... whatever the reason, this sunday offered me a spontaneous gift... a concert for 4 stops!
